What does being eco-friendly mean? In simple terms being eco-friendly means taking some action to do things in a way that either does not have any impact or has the lowest negative impact on the environment.
Why we choose to be eco-friendly? Cleaning products can present several health and environmental concerns. They may contain chemicals associated with eye, skin, or respiratory irritation, or other human health issues. Additionally, the concentrated forms of some commercial cleaning products are classified as hazardous, creating potential handling, storage, and disposal issues for users. Reducing the human health and environmental concerns is an important issue!
Why is it so important for Bright & Beautiful to use NON TOXIC products? Cleaning products are released to the environment during normal use through evaporation of volatile components and rinsing down the drain residual product from cleaned surfaces, cloths, etc. People working in the cleaning industry can be exposed to concentrated cleaning products for long periods of time having serious affects on their health. Toxic cleaning chemicals if not disposed of correctly can also be harmful to animals and our water supply. Choosing less hazardous products that have positive environmental attributes and taking steps to reduce exposure can minimize harmful impacts to team members, as well as improving indoor air quality, and reducing water and ambient air pollution.
“The environmental protection agency determined that toxic chemicals are 3x more likely to cause cancer than any other pollutants.”
